Questions authors ask
Do I have to give you my KDP password?
No. Your accounts stay in your name, with your bank and tax details. We set up the listing with you on a screen share.
Do I need my own ISBN?
Not always. KDP offers a free ISBN for paperbacks, but it only works with KDP. If you want to publish the same edition elsewhere, you need your own. Our ISBN guide explains the choice.
Can you help with IngramSpark and KDP at the same time?
Yes. Many authors use both, and there are a few settings to get right so the two listings do not clash.
Can you choose my categories and keywords?
Yes. We research them with you as part of setup, and explain why each one fits your book.
Are you part of Amazon or IngramSpark?
No. USA Book Studios is independent and not affiliated with Amazon, KDP, IngramSpark or Lulu.
